Panel Discussion

The topic of the panel discussion will address the theme of our conference, “Working Together Toward a Common Goal: Using Research to Inform Practice and Practice to Inform Research.”

Given the diverse background of our panelists, the terms “research” and “practice” will be defined broadly. Research will include data collection; analysis; and reporting at both individual, group, and population levels. Practice will include classroom instruction; program administration; and local, state, and federal policy decisions. Panelists will discuss successful researcher-practitioner partnerships and ingredients to success as well as the challenges they faced and how they overcame them. Questions such as how researchers can make their findings more practitioner friendly will also be discussed.
