Bryan Stokes II
Bryan Stokes II is the Preschool Expansion Policy Director at the Illinois Governor's Office of Early Childhood Development. In this role, he manages implementation of the state's Preschool Development Grant, an $80 million federal investment in high-quality early learning, and leads the department's work to advance policies that will support and strengthen the early educator workforce.
Prior to joining the Governor's Office, Bryan served as Director of Programs for Gads Hill Center, a social service agency serving children, youth, and families in west and southwest Chicago. Bryan holds a Master's degree in English Literature from Penn State. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, he currently resides in Chicago, Illinois.
